Your FACKELMANN Team!
Discolouration generally occurs on kitchen devices made of melamine.
Unfortunately, legal statutes no longer allow us to offer kitchen devices such as ladles, spatulas or serving spoons made of melamine.
(e.g. FACKELMANN Art. 40103, 40143, 40153..)
The nylon replacement products supplied by FACKELMANN (Art. 24280, 24280, 24286, 24290- 24297) have similar characteristics to melamine (robust, stable, taste-free), but the surface structure is slightly different.
Here too, however, intensively coloured ingredients such as curry, paprika etc. cannot be prevented from permeating the outermost material layers, causing discolouration. We wish to point this out, but also expressly state that this does not affect the product's function in any way, nor does it have any effects on the food that could cause health issues. All FACKELMANN products are tested intensively in this regard and have been awarded the required certifications.
Have fun baking and cooking!

The extensive FACKELMANN range of around 4,000 items is only ever available in part.
We compile needs-related product ranges for our customers.
You will find an excerpt from our customer list in the Retailers section.
You can also search there for shops near you, divided into household goods and bathroom furniture.
Your shop of choice, therefore, may not have our entire product range in stock.
In such cases, please ask us what product you are looking for, if possible with a detailed description or article number, and giving the postal code for the area where you wish to buy the product.

I have bought a new noodle machine from FACKELMANN, but the User Instructions are missing!
The way our noodle machine works is described in the pictograms on the packaging:
Here are some explanations of the pictograms:
1. Fasten the noodle machine to a firm surface
2.-4. Prepare noodle dough
5. Cut dough into correctly sized pieces
6. Set the desired noodle thickness using the adjusting knob
7./8. Put the dough into the first (pressing) shaft and roll it out by turning the lever
9. Then put this rolled dough into the desired cutting shaft and cut it into strips by turning the lever
The noodles/spaghetti can now be cooked.
There are fewer toothpicks in my box than stated.
The toothpicks are put into the box by machine. This can result in deviations in the number of toothpicks of up to ten.
My baking brush sometimes sheds bristles!
The hairs/bristles on the baking brush are a natural product and vary in length.
They are sorted, combed and cut, but individual hairs may detach from the adhesive.
My cooking spoon discoloured after cooking.
Are there any negative effects to fear from this?
Intensively coloured substances such as carrots, curry or paprika can permeate the outermost layers of the plastic due to the heat in the pan or pot.
These substances can discolour white materials in particular, such as melamine or nylon. However, this is purely an optical defect that has no ill effects on health or function.
My sieve, vegetable slicer or grater has begun to develop rust spots!
There are various qualities of sieves, slicers and graters in the FACKELMANN range.Tin products or tin-plated sieves are much less expensive than stainless steel articles.
When caring for these products, however, special care must be taken.
Tin or tin-plated products must never be stored moist or washed in a dishwasher. However, this is not a problem for stainless steel products (recognisable due to the "inox" or "Rust Free" symbol").
My product turned unsightly and black after being cleaned in the dishwasher!
Some FACKELMANN products, such as the garlic press, egg cutter and meat mallet are made of cast aluminium.
Discolouration can occur if the salt in the dishwasher causes the surface of the product to oxidise. That is why these products are not suitable for the dishwasher and must be washed by hand.
Please note the instructions on the package.
Although my Nirosta knives are "rust free", I find small rust spots on them after washing them in the dishwasher.
There are several grades of "rust free". Only 18/10 alloys are entirely insusceptible to rust.
This alloy is not used for knives because it cannot be sufficiently sharpened.
Here, another alloy is used, which is rust free in principle, especially if not dried properly, but which can exhibit spots of rust film from time to time.
These materials should not be cleaned in a dishwasher. They should be washed by hand and dried thoroughly, otherwise there is the risk of rust film.
This rust film can generally be removed using a cloth with a drop of cooking oil.
Why can't I use oils in the FACKELMANN / Zenker baking tins?
The "Do not use oil" instruction has to do with the suitability of oils for baking in general.
Most quality oils (olive, safflower,...) are rich in unsaturated fats, but these are chemically unstable at high temperatures and unhealthy degradation products result.
Fats such as margarine, which comprise mainly saturated fatty acids and are thus more heat-resistant, are generally more suitable.
What liquid is in the thermometers?
Non-toxic coloured alcohol.
